Restrictions introduced in Russia due to the coronavirus pandemic are necessary, said President Vladimir Putin.

He recalled that Russia in the situation with the disease is proactive and has all the necessary resources to protect the life and health of citizens in the context of the spread of coronavirus.

“Together, by joining forces, we solve emerging problems. And for this, as I have said more than once, we have everything: a healthy, strong economy, scientific potential, the necessary material and highly professional base in the healthcare sector, ”he noted in the congratulation of the country's citizens on Easter.

The head of state added that Russia is carefully analyzing the experience of other countries, actively interacting with foreign colleagues, and knows what needs to be done in any development of the situation.

“All levels of government work rhythmically, orderly, responsibly. The situation is under full control. Our entire society is united in front of a common threat, ”Putin added.

Meanwhile, the head of the Moscow Department of Health Alexei Khripun said that the number of hospitalized patients with coronavirus infection in Moscow remains stable. 

The operational headquarters for controlling the spread of the disease explained that, despite the increase in the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19, there were no more patients entering hospitals - there were about 1300 of them left, RIA Novosti reports.

“At the same time, we do not have a shortage of places in hospitals. About 4 thousand beds were deployed this week, and next week we are introducing an additional 5 thousand. The Moscow ambulance has the ability to work more evenly, taking patients to Moscow hospitals, taking into account the severity of their condition, the resources available at our clinics, ”Khripun explained.

He also added that the proportion of Russians in whom the disease is asymptomatic is about 60%.

“If a week ago, about 40% of all patients in Moscow had no symptoms, today about 60%,” Khripun said on the air of the Vremya program on Channel One.

The headquarters also said that the detection of coronavirus is growing due to tests of private and federal centers. They noted that in recent days, the daily increase in confirmed cases of the disease in the capital is more than 2.5 thousand.

“This trend is associated with an increase in the number of daily tests and indicates an improvement in the quality of diagnostics,” the headquarters noted.

In the capital on the eve of 28 people died with a positive test for coronavirus infection, among them - patients aged 30 to 93 years, according to the headquarters. They added that most had concomitant diseases.

“A 30-year-old man suffered from diabetes. A 37-year-old patient was diagnosed with pneumonia with a total lesion of the left lung, the report says.

The department said that they had already produced and delivered test systems for 3.2 million definitions.

Recall that in Moscow the restrictions imposed to stop the spread of coronavirus continue to apply. Starting April 15, a digital code is required for travel by public or private transport. In this case, all residents of the city must comply with the regime of self-isolation.

In addition, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin made changes to the access control, according to which, starting April 22, only electronic cards can be used for public transport, the numbers of which citizens must include in their digital pass. In addition, a new type of passes is introduced - for volunteering. To monitor compliance with the access control regime, car drivers will use cameras for photo and video recording of violations and traffic police.
