The outcome of the "Covid-19" epidemic has crossed the threshold of 154,000 deaths in the world, about two thirds of them in Europe, amid growing doubts about the situation in China despite Beijing raising its numbers after reviewing it.

While the Ministry of Health in Madrid announced yesterday that the death toll from the new Corona exceeded 20,000 people in Spain, the Ministry of Health in London said that the death toll in British hospitals with Covid-19 increased 888 deaths, bringing the total to 15,464 people.

In detail, the total number of deaths from the new Corona virus reached 154,188, according to a toll compiled by Agence France-Presse based on official figures, and that 2,251,690 people have been infected in 193 countries and regions since the outbreak began.

About 60% of the world's population is subject to home quarantine, with 4.5 billion people obligated or invited to go to their homes in order to contain the spread of the epidemic.

In Madrid, the Spanish Ministry of Health announced yesterday that the death toll from the new Corona exceeded 20,000 people in Spain, the third most affected country in the world after the United States and Italy.

In London, the Ministry of Health said that the death toll in British hospitals with "Covid-19" disease caused by infection with the Corona virus increased 888 deaths, bringing the total to 15,464 people.

The United States, which recorded the first death from HIV infection at the end of February, is the country most affected, with 37079 deaths out of 706,779 cases, and 59,673 people have been cured.

Italy comes after the United States, with 22745 deaths out of 172434 injuries.

In China, where the outbreak began at the end of December, 82,719 casualties (352 new between Friday and Saturday) were officially counted, including 4,632 deaths and 77029 cases of recovery.

China yesterday ordered that any person working in certain service-related jobs in Wuhan be tested for Corona virus if he wanted to leave the city.

In Tokyo, the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation said that the number of confirmed cases of the Corona virus rose to 10 thousand yesterday, days after the extension of the state of emergency to cover the rest of the country in order to slow the spread of the virus.

In Tehran, a spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Health told official television that the death toll from the Corona virus in Iran had increased by 73 deaths in the past 24 hours, to reach 5,031 people yesterday.

For its part, Indonesia has extended strict social divergence rules to include the millions of people who live on the main Java island and in West Sumatra.

And the Ministry of Health in Singapore confirmed 942 new cases of the new coronavirus yesterday, to set a new record for the daily increase in the number of infected people.
