According to RIA Novosti with reference to the agency, over the past day, 217 people died from COVID-19, resulting in a total number of coronavirus deaths reaching 2141.
In total, 33 682 cases of the disease were confirmed in the country.
Earlier, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaru announced his desire to start opening borders and resume trade in the previous regime, despite the still existing threat of coronavirus infection COVID-19.
