According to her, the participants in the event launched a banner with obscene language and set fire to smoke bombs, while representatives of the police took measures to detain and fine one of the demonstrators.
“Unfortunately, the police did not inform the consul general of their actions and the resolution of the incident. In this regard, an official note was sent to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ”RIA Novosti quoted Shtihov as saying.
Earlier, a similar incident took place in front of the embassy of the republic in Moscow. Then the Russian ambassador in Prague, Alexander Zmeevsky, was called up for a conversation at the Czech Foreign Ministry.
The incidents are connected with the decision of the authorities of the Prague-6 district on the demolition of the monument to Marshal of the Soviet Union Ivan Konev.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the actions of this municipality cynical and outrageous.
