Corona Arab .. Health isolation of doctors in Egypt and a Saudi fatwa regarding Tarawih and Eid prayers

Egyptian medical sources said that 127 of the medical staff members in Fayoum Hospital had been isolated after the emergence of new infections of Corona virus (Covid-19). On the other hand, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia announced that Tarawih and Eid prayers will be held in homes this year, if mosques continue to be closed because of this epidemic.

The same sources indicated that the Egyptian health authorities carried out disinfection operations for the hospital, and the injured doctors and nurses were transferred to the Quarantine Hospital in 15 May City, south of Cairo.

Several hospitals in Egypt were closed due to the spread of injuries among its medical teams, most notably the National Cancer Institute, Sadr Dikirnis Hospital, Dakahlia Governorate, and Al Zaytoun Specialized Hospital in Cairo.

This comes at a time when the World Health Organization revealed that injuries among medical teams in Egypt constitute 13% of the total injuries, while the Egyptian Doctors Syndicate called on the Ministry of Health to announce the true numbers of injuries among doctors.

The Ministry of Health announced 171 new infections, bringing the total to 2,844, and nine deaths, raising the total to 205 deaths.

Fatwa and Comment
Because of the continued spread of the Corona virus, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Abdul Aziz Al Sheikh, announced today, Friday, that Tarawih and Eid prayers will be held in homes this year, if the mosques continue to be closed due to the epidemic.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health announced four new deaths from the Coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths to 87, and 762 new infections were recorded, bringing the total to 7,142.

For its part, the Ministry of the Interior decided to prevent curfews, entry and exit to and from the areas of Samtah and Al-Dayer (southwest) of the Kingdom, within 24 hours, from three in the afternoon until another notice.

In Qatar, the authorities announced today 560 new infections in Corona, bringing the total to 4663, while the Supreme Committee for Projects and Legacy, responsible for preparations to host the next World Cup 2022 World Cup, announced that six championship project workers were infected with the virus. 

In the Sultanate of Oman, 50 more cases of coronavirus, half of them foreigners, were announced today, which brings the total number of infections to 1069, in addition to five deaths.

In Kuwait, 134 new injuries were announced today, bringing the total to 1658.

The authorities have confirmed that the country has an abundance of strategic stocks of food and basic commodities sufficient for months to come, and that comes while ports continue to receive more ships loaded with various consumables and food. 

Trapping of the virus
In Morocco, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 245 new infections in Corona, which is the second largest number of infections since the emergence of the virus, bringing the total to more than 2,500 infections, and the number of deaths reached 133 deaths.

For his part, Prime Minister Saad al-Din al-Othmani said that his country had managed until the moment to besiege the Coronavirus by taking important and proactive measures to confront it. He described these measures as difficult and cruel to citizens, but they are necessary.

In the UAE, the Dubai government media office said on Twitter today that the emirate (the business center of the country) extended the curfew for a week 24 hours within the framework of a comprehensive sterilization program to control the outbreak of the new Corona virus.

Yesterday, Thursday, 460 new cases and 2 deaths were recorded, bringing the number of cases to 5,825, as well as 35 deaths.
