China Overseas Chinese Network, April 16 (Zimbabwe Times), citing local media reports, in order to combat the new crown epidemic, Zimbabwean President Mangagaguwa recently issued a 21-day national blockade ban. More than 100 homeless people were placed in three local shelters. On April 15th, a Chinese group in Tianjin donated 110,000 jin worth of loving goods to the shelter.

  These donated materials, including food, protective clothing and toiletries, were donated to the Hampden Adult Men's Refuge Station and the Jamaica Inn Women's Refuge Station. Some local homeless people were placed here to live.

  The Chinese group also donated sugar, rice, instant porridge, cooking oil, gloves and masks to the staff and volunteers of these two shelters.

  The Chinese Chamber of Commerce representative Lei Ting said that they are cooperating with the local government to help the local government protect the rations of the residents of the shelters.

  "Our donation is based on the list provided by our local partner Eatout agency Zimbabwe. We donated 100 liters of edible oil, 100 kg of sugar, 264 toothbrushes, shower soap, 600 bottles of water, 50 kg of instant porridge, 20 Kg of salt and some vegetables, crackers and snacks.

  He said they promised to continue to help the local government fight the new crown epidemic. "This is the first batch of donated materials. We are currently organizing the second batch of donated materials," he said.

  A staff member of the Eatout agency in Zimbabwe said that they are making every effort to ensure that all the people living in the three rescue centers are well taken care of. (Amin)
