The place is deserted due to confinement. The Abruzzo region in central Italy has announced its decision to buy tickets for 12,000 euros at the "Zoo d'Abruzzo" which will then be distributed to schools. The office of the presidency of the Regional Council of Abruzzo adopted this Tuesday the release of funds.

An “SOS ticket” to help

The president of the Regional Council Lorenzo Sospiri was to go this Thursday to the park located in Rocca San Giovanni to meet the management and formalize the purchase of tickets. "It is a small gesture that will serve to give a first response to the crisis in the Abruzzo zoo," said Lorenzo Sospiri, quoted in a Council statement.

The Region has already helped by organizing a food drive for residents. In addition, the zoo offers on its website the purchase of an open date “SOS ticket”, valid for any day in 2020, from the date of reopening.
