The activities of the national campaign "Emirates Volunteer" were launched, which was announced by the Supreme National Committee for Volunteerism during Crises, aimed at unifying volunteer activities at the state level, promoting integration and cooperation between all governmental and private sectors, and community participation within the context of affirming cohesion and cooperation in the Emirates, and supporting efforts National response to the outbreak of the emerging corona virus (Covid-19).
The national campaign aims to support volunteer efforts at the state level, harnessing the experiences, skills and talents of members of society, and involve them in the volunteering process through two types of volunteering, which are field and virtual, and within an integrated and sustainable system of volunteering in the country during crises.
The campaign seeks, during the current stage, to attract experts and skills from the medical staff within these specialties: general practitioner in all fields, psychiatrist, nursing in all fields, retired doctors from all specialties, students from various medical specialties, and anyone with training certificates in first aid Primary or emergency response.
The campaign provides virtual volunteering through volunteer opportunities at a distance for different members of society, enabling them to contribute to the campaign by providing their own expertise and skills from their homes, to preserve their safety, through the national volunteer platform “volunteers. UAE” volunteers.ae.
Everyone is allowed to participate in virtual volunteering from the age of 14 in the fields of "serving the various parties".
As for specialists, the required volunteer volunteers are required to provide courses and workshops in various fields for all ages, such as sports, art, languages, health, and tackling Corona and others, in addition to specialists in mental health, in dealing with senior citizens, and certified professional trainers.
Volunteers also have the opportunity to volunteer at the call center, which is available to all, with priority given to specialists in serving customers and speakers of different languages, while public volunteering is open to all, citizens and residents, from 14 years of age and above.
The campaign also allows citizens and residents of the community to volunteer and support the tender forces in the field and contribute to the efforts made to address the repercussions of "Corona" through field volunteering on the ground, and to support some societal groups, especially in the national survey centers to examine "Covid-19" through the vehicle, In cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company - Health, Quarantine Support - Abu Dhabi Health, the “Response” call center in Abu Dhabi Health, the Health Department’s Abu Dhabi Call Center “Takatuf”, in addition to volunteering at the DHA field hospital, and volunteering to provide medical support in Dubai , And support at th Airports and outlets in Dubai, volunteering to support health facilities in Sharjah and Ajman, and volunteering to support the efforts of quarantines in Umm Al Quwain, and «Takatuf .. to tackle the new Corona virus» by supporting health facilities in Fujairah, in addition to volunteering in medical examinations in Fujairah, and supporting the city’s efforts Humanity in Fujairah.
The Minister of Community Development, Hessa bint Issa Bouhamid, stressed the importance of volunteer work, which in these exceptional circumstances is a national duty, which we must perform within the framework of personal, national and moral responsibility, and in the context of Jamil Al-Watan's response, noting that crises fade and challenges disappear, and loyalty remains stuck in Memory of loyalty to the homeland and belonging to humanity, which is written down by the volunteer work of its owners in records preserved by history for them and for generations after them.
She called on all groups of society, and the specialists in the medical staff in particular, to take the initiative in presenting their expertise and skills in support of the tremendous efforts made by the national teams in tackling the spread of the "Corona virus", stressing that the campaign came to confirm the principle of human support for the human being, whether it is the volunteer himself or whoever needs Help.
