Available bearings with protective equipment

Louise Ressner is satisfied with the municipality's work to protect both the staff and the elderly. She believes that there is protective equipment so that it is sufficient for everyone.

- The municipality has a well-stocked warehouse where you can retrieve what is needed. What is extremely important now is to make risk assessments and use the right equipment at the right work, ”she says.

Employees in elderly care have been given information and checklists on what to do, both in care homes and in home care and home care.

New corona team in home care

Soon, a special corona team in home care will also start with about 60 people who will be able to move in if there are so many infected that the ordinary staff will not be able to.

- We protection officers are also involved in this work, says Louise Ressner.

Lars Thunberg (KD) is chairman of the health and care board. He regrets the development but also says that he feels secure with the availability of protective equipment and with the knowledge and working methods that are available among service personnel and the elderly care staff.

- The signal to us politicians from the employees right now is: let's work in peace with what we have to do now. And of course we should respect that. But I follow developments closely and receive daily reports on the situation, he says.
