General Director of the General Department of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Major General Mohammed Al-Marri, confirmed the provision of facilities for workers and employees who lost their jobs due to the Corona crisis (Covid-19), in the event that they obtain other jobs, by facilitating the transfer of their residency.

This came during a press conference organized by the Dubai Government media office, in cooperation with Dubai TV, in which Al-Marri and the head of the Control and Control Center for Corona Virus Control, Dr. Amer Al-Sharif, spoke remotely with local newspaper editors on the developments of the Corona virus.

During the conference, Al-Sharif affirmed the provision of private clinics for labor intensive locations in the emirate.

In detail, Al-Marri said that his administration is implementing an integrated plan to confront the Corona virus and its repercussions, which include overcoming the difficulties related to transferring residence, which confront workers and employees who have lost their jobs to work for other parties.

The procedures include those transferring jobs within the emirate, or those coming from other emirates.

Al-Marri pointed to taking strict precautionary measures to prevent the infiltration of the Corona virus from abroad in light of the measures taken, represented in carrying out accurate tests for those coming to the emirate through its border, land, sea and air ports.

For his part, Dr. Amer Al-Sharif said that Dubai implemented an integrated strategic plan to tackle the Corona virus, which included expanding the examination department and raising the absorptive capacity of hospitals, in cooperation and coordination between federal and local agencies, government and private, pharmaceutical companies, and medical device suppliers, to ensure the integrity of efforts and achieve their impact Required.

He stressed the existence of complementary efforts directed at the places of labor intensity, which included providing their own clinics, a field survey of cases, the transfer of special medical teams to their sites, and the provision of high-efficiency treatment plans for patients with whom they are afflicted, indicating that these measures were a major reason to curb the spread of the epidemic.

He stated that the committee is working to expand the circle of examinations to include those who return from travel, and those who have symptoms of "Covid-19", in addition to people with chronic diseases.

Those who feel symptoms similar to those of "Covid-19" asked to go to hospitals and specialized clinics to get the necessary health care.

On the possibility of extending the period of national sterilization, Al-Sharif emphasized that indicators and outputs should be submitted to the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management in the country, to take the necessary measures to preserve the safety of society.
