The outbreak of the Corona pandemic has awakened the memories of the world about epidemics, and throughout human history epidemics have struck civilizations and societies, and for a long time the epidemic was a literary tradition spread in poetry and narration.

In this context, the French site "Aurian 21" reviewed the forty number of a series of adventure books "Safari" within the group "Egyptian Pocket Novels" in the eighties, and was issued under the title "On the Birds We Tell" by the Egyptian author Ahmed Khaled Tawfiq, who, thanks to his ability to predict In his story, he gives us an echo of what is happening today as we live in the Coruna epidemic.

The author concludes his story by saying, "The terrifying real epidemic is coming, no doubt. It will start from somewhere in China or (Hong Kong) ... its time. We will have no hope except in the mercy of God, then the molecular biology and speed of vaccine synthesis."

This series - whose links reached 53 between detective stories, excitement, horror and science fiction - narrates the adventures of Alaa Abdel Azim, a young Egyptian doctor working for a non-governmental organization called "Safari" in sub-Saharan Africa.

In the 40th issue of the Safari series, entitled "On the Birds We Knew," Toufik talks about a mysterious disease afflicting the friend of the Tunisian hero, and evidence indicates that the disease is linked to chickens.

This story is characterized, despite its brief nature and simple style, that it touched on the methods of disease transmission and conspiracy theories, and the role of pharmaceutical laboratories in researching and marketing vaccines; it bears great resonance to our current situation.

Tawfik predicted and predicted (Godfather) that the expected place for this epidemic to start is China, saying, "Where does the pig and the chicken meet? Of course, for every Chinese farmer, every Chinese farmer hides a dangerous laboratory for biological experiments in his fold, and in this fold creates unique types of viruses that we have not heard About it before, and that is why we only hear about terrible influenza epidemics from Southeast Asia, until the word (Asian flu) has become a ring that reminds us of the word plague.

Tawfiq tells that bird viruses infect pigs, to develop and acquire more dangerous capabilities, as the characteristics of the chicken and pig viruses mix, to create an excellent new virus that is transmitted from pig to human.

As the outbreak of the Corona virus began in China, fans of "The Godfather" circulated old passages from previous articles and stories, in which he spoke about the expected epidemic and the coming danger that threatens humanity.

And the site warned that "about the birds we talk" is not the first adventure in the Egyptian pocket novels that talk about a pandemic, as we find the same topic under the title "a demonic epidemic", in another series of the group entitled "the file of the future" by writer Nabil Farouk, in which he tells that a virus It caused a general panic that spread within the framework of a biological attack carried out by a "hostile state" against Egypt.

Farouk's novels appear as espionage and adventure literature, and tell fictional stories of her hero, "Adham Sabry", who presents himself in a manner similar to the famous James Bond, and his partner in life and adventures "Mona".

Adham Sabri - according to the site - earned his title, because he is the man who expands the limits of capabilities, with his intelligence and the number of languages he masters, and his full knowledge of all martial arts techniques, creating the morals of the knight who only kills when absolutely necessary, and never kills women, becomes an image A fictional model for the ideal patriot and a good Muslim, in a picture in which the writer mixes literary fiction and advertising promotion.

And in "The Future File", the nostalgia itself for the glorious past is displayed this time in a futuristic world beginning of the twenty-first century, at a time when it was possible to imagine traveling in flying cars, but it is not possible to imagine the existence of social networks.

And in the book "On Birds Talking", which predicted an uncontrollable pulmonary epidemic, the region is not saved by an Egyptian hero like Adham Sabry, but rather a team of doctors of multiple nationalities led by Belgian and German, as the site says.

A mysterious future
This is not the first time that Tawfiq fans have used his literature to try to search for his prophecies and his own vision for the future, as many circulated passages from his famous novel "Utopia" (2008), which talked about Egypt in 2023, where the rich live in a ghetto in the northern coast, While the cities of the poor lack the most basic services, as if it is a "godfather" prophecy for a bleak future for Egypt, and some have likened it to the new administrative capital, where the rich will isolate themselves.

In his novel, Tawfiq says, "Utopia ... the isolated colony that the wealthy have formed on the northern coast to protect themselves from the sea of angry poverty outside, and which has everything they want .. You can see with me its features ... giant gates ... electrified wire ... guard patrols that It is carried out by the company "Sefco", whose employees are made up of retired Marines ... Sometimes a poor person tries to sneak inside without a permit, so the helicopter chases him and kills him, as happened in the scene that does not leave my imagination.
