Jimmie became addicted to gambling

It was around 2006 that it started for the sports enthusiast and game-happy Jimmie Månsson from Johannishus.

- I won once and then it was chaos, completely. That win triggered everything.

After two years of constant playing, it stopped. In the end, he dared to contact Ronneby municipality's dependency, which helped him to psychiatry in Karlskrona. His relatives did not know anything about his gaming addiction. He called family and friends from the hospital bed and told him what the last few years had really meant to him.

- I hid it after all, you can go to the toilet but not to do their needs but to set up a game. You can't work or sleep, you're not yourself, he says.

After being on sick leave, the revenge lust came - wanting to win back all the money that was wasted. But since August 2018, Jimmie Månsson has been game-free.

- I haven't really had any suck since then. I understood that it was not just affecting myself. It feels good to have come from it now, but you never know when it might come back. You have to fight with it all the time.

In February, a gambling addiction group was started in Karlskrona , where Jimmie Månsson is now active.
