General Director of the General Department of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Major General Mohammed Al-Marri, confirmed that facilities will be provided to all workers and employees who have lost their jobs due to the Corona crisis (Covid-19), in the event that they obtain other jobs, by facilitating the process of transferring residencies, and include the procedures for the transferers For jobs within the emirate or those coming from other emirates, while work is being done to prepare an integrated plan to stimulate tourism after the end of the Corona crisis.

This came during a press conference held today, remotely, with the editors-in-chief of local newspapers, and broadcast on Dubai TV, to shed light on the latest developments regarding the Corona virus (Covid 19) in the emirate.

Al-Marri said: “The administration is implementing an integrated plan to confront the Corona virus, and its repercussions, which include overcoming the difficulties facing workers and employees who have lost their jobs to work for other parties related to the transfer of residency, whether inside Dubai or for those coming from outside.”

He continued: «The Standing Committee for Labor Affairs in Dubai has communicated with the owners of major companies operating in the emirate, with the aim of coordination and setting a joint plan to ensure a decent life for workers, and take all preventive and awareness-raising measures to protect them from the virus.»

Al-Marri indicated that strict measures are taken to prevent the infiltration of the Corona virus from abroad, in light of the measures taken, which are represented in carrying out accurate checks for all those coming to the emirate through its border ports, land, sea and air, as well as its employees, to ensure their safety.

Al-Marri pointed out that there is a plan to revitalize tourism in Dubai in the post-Corona period, and said: “There is continuous communication and meetings involving the Department of Tourism in Dubai in addition to operating tourism companies and airlines, to draw future plans to restore life to normal in the fastest time, and the return of the tourist movement Pointing out that the administration was keen to bid farewell to all the returnees to their country with the phrase "I accompanied you safety ... to a close meeting" which had results and a good effect.

For his part, Head of the Control and Control Center for Corona Virus Control Dr. Amer Al-Sharif said: “The Emirate of Dubai has implemented an integrated strategic plan to address and confront the Corona virus, which includes expanding the examination circle and raising the absorptive capacity of hospitals, in cooperation and coordination between all federal and local agencies, governmental and private, And pharmaceutical companies, and medical device providers, to ensure that efforts are complementary and that they achieve the desired impact. ”

He explained that the strategy of the control and control center is based on reducing the rate of disease outbreaks in society, through social divergence, raising the percentage of examinations in the emirate, and raising the absorptive capacity of the health sector.

Al-Sharif stressed that there are complementary efforts directed to the places of labor intensity, where clinics have been provided for them, a field survey of cases, the transfer of special medical teams to their sites, and the provision of high-efficiency treatment plans for patients with whom they are suffering, along with a decent life, noting that these measures are a major reason for limiting From the outbreak.

He stated that the committee is working to expand the circle of examinations to include targeted groups, including those who return from travel, or those who have contacts with symptoms of Covid 19, in addition to people with chronic diseases, in cooperation with all agencies.

And demanded that the public who feel symptoms similar to those of Covid 19, to go to hospitals and specialized clinics, to get health care without fear, where there are high-efficiency isolation procedures, between the departments within each hospital.

In response to a question about the possibility of extending the period of national sterilization, Al-Sharif said that indicators and outputs will be submitted to the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management in the country, so that the necessary measures are taken to preserve the safety of society.
