  Henan, the most populous province, has taken the lead in cancer follow-up registration in the Linxian area since the late 1950s. As of the end of 2019, Henan cancer follow-up registration has covered 49% of the population of the province, laying a solid foundation for cancer prevention in Henan . The "2019 Henan Cancer Registration Annual Report" reports the prevalence of malignant tumor morbidity and mortality among people in the Henan cancer registration area in 2016.

  The annual report shows that the incidence of malignant tumors in the tumor registration areas of Henan Province is 268.31 per 100,000 and the mortality rate is 162.02 per 100,000; lung cancer, gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, colorectal and anal cancer, cervical cancer, and thyroid cancer , Brain and central nervous system cancer and leukemia are still the main malignant tumors in the province, accounting for about 80.71% of all malignant tumors.

  Among them, the first incidence of male malignant tumors in Henan Province is lung cancer, followed by gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, liver cancer and colorectal and anal cancer; the first incidence of female malignant tumors is breast cancer, followed by lung cancer, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer and children Cervical cancer.

  Henan has also formulated a systematic cancer prevention plan. By 2022 and 2030, the overall 5-year survival rate of cancer in Henan Province will be no less than 43.3% and 46.6%, respectively.
