The pulse between the Govern and the Sant Andreu de la Barca Town Council is maintained. The plenary session of the Barcelona town today approved an institutional declaration in which it asked the Generalitat to launch the medicalized hotel set up at the Bristol hotel . But the Govern insists on not using the hotel or the field hospital set up three weeks ago by the Civil Guard in a sports center in collaboration with the City Council and under the guidelines of Doctors Without Borders .

The plenary session has approved the declaration with the support of the PSC, Ciudadanos and Podemos and the vote against Fem Sant Andreu . The intention of the Consistory is to mitigate the situation of its reference hospital, located in the nearby town of Martorell and saturated by the effects of the coronavirus. 15 days ago, the City Council launched a second health center at the Bristol hotel. However, the patients have not arrived at either of the two enabled facilities because the Generalitat is against their operation. Its use is "for the moment, ruled out," the Health Minister, Alba Vergés , insisted today.

The Government's refusal to use the facilities of Sant Andreu de la Barca has outraged the mayor of the city, the socialist Enric Llorca , a doctor by profession who acts as a politician in the morning and attends primary care cases in the afternoon. "We will not remain insensitive to people's suffering," says the mayor. "We have collaborated from the outset with what has been necessary and we will continue to do so because our objective is to contribute to the well-being of citizens."

The case is already under judicial investigation. A judge from Martorell intends to clarify whether the Generalitat has unjustifiably rejected a space enabled to receive patients, an extreme that could have had consequences for the health of citizens. The complaint accuses the Govern of not wanting to use the field hospital because the Civil Guard installed it. From the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) they have explained that the judge in Martorell has sent a reasoned statement to the Civil and Criminal Chamber of the Catalan high court, whose admissions chamber will now have to decide whether to admit it for processing because Vergés and Quim Torra are graduated. The magistrate has asked the TSJC to take up the complaint for a crime of reckless manslaughter.
