Right now, manufacturing of protective equipment for the care is underway in Mälardalen University's new premises in Eskilstuna.

- It is IDT (Academy of Innovation, Design and Technology) that produces. We have a brand new campus here, and the campus has workshops. These are teaching materials that we have. When we saw that there was a lack of visor, we started to make a profit and a loss, says Henrik Lekryd, responsible for the university's workshops and labs.

Many have gone - but there are more

It is estimated that at present six protective visors are produced per hour, and approximately 250 pieces have already been collected.

- Then we have 150 completed which no one has heard of yet. Our problem is that not many people know that we do these things.

What is it that has been downloaded so far?

- It was one elderly residence in Stockholm and one in Eskilstuna, then some hospital in Västmanland.

How many visors can you make?

- If we spend a little time we can do 250 a week or so. If we try a little more then around 1500 - 2000, but then volunteers are needed who can help.
