[In pictures] At Château Rouge, the heart of Africa in Paris beats in slow motion

It is a succession of stores with evocative names that lowered their iron curtains for the two months of confinement at Château Rouge. This district of the 18th arrondissement of Paris, which sees the citizens of the entire African diaspora pass, is usually very lively. From now on, we can only see people wandering around there on a few local residents who have come to do their basic shopping. The streets have looked like no man's land since the opening of the open markets, and the numerous fines of 135 euros have dissuaded the more adventurous from venturing out.
