Former Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy could have skipped the confinement decreed by the Government. According to images released this Tuesday by La Sexta , Rajoy would have left his home in Madrid to exercise in the surroundings of the house. The video and photos show the former president dressed in sportswear.

The chain assures that this scene occurred a few days ago, during the confinement decreed by the Government with the state of alarm, and that the attitude of the former president has sparked complaints from his neighbors.

The measures established in the decree by the state of alarm to stop the coronavirus are clear: you cannot go out into the street to do sports, either individually or in groups. You can only leave the confinement in very specific cases, such as going to work in some cases, shopping, going to the pharmacy or taking the dog out. Those who fail to comply are exposed to fines such as those they have had to face and thousands of citizens throughout Spain.

Since the start of the state of alarm decreed on March 14, the security forces and bodies have filed 650,000 complaints for disobedience to the mobility restrictions stipulated in that royal decree, as Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska revealed yesterday.

It is the government delegations and subdelegations that process these sanction files filed by agents of the different police forces and later an instructor is the one who evaluates the sanction proposal and notifies the accused.

"The sanction is not an end, we do not have a collection purpose even if it involves a collection. What we have as an end is to raise awareness that the rule cannot be breached because everyone's health must be guaranteed," said the Minister of the Interior, before reiterating that a minority of unsupportive people try to circumvent the restrictions.
