At the beginning of last year, a man at the age of 45 must have hired two men at the age of 25-30 with the aim of recovering a debt of SEK 350,000 from a man of the age of 60 in Halmstad municipality.

The man at the age of 45 should have previously conducted a deal with the man at the age of 60. But when the business dreams came crashing down, the younger man claimed that his former partner had not given him enough money back.

The collectors would receive SEK 65,000.

In order to recover the alleged debt, the two youngest men would receive SEK 65,000 of the 45-year-old in payment. Something that would go through an intermediary, who is another man in his 50s. The role of the middleman would also have been to provide the two recoverers with information about the victim.

Shot at pizzeria

The two recoverers are now suspected of assaulting the victim and firing guns at his house. The same evening they will also go to a pizzeria in central Halmstad where one of the men must have hung out the window pane and fired several shots with a sawed-off shotgun.
No person should have been injured in any of the shootings.

The shotgun must have been stolen

The four defendants were then arrested at the end of last year. Three of them are indicted for attempted extortion, the fourth for assisting in attempted extortion.

Two of the men are also charged with two counts of aggravated weapons failure and causing danger to another.

The 25-year-old man is also charged with aggravated theft, as the shotgun is suspected to have been stolen from the home where he works as an assistant to a child.
