We offer condolences to the singer and social group Ramoncín for the death of his mother, Antonia, by coronavirus last Thursday . He is resigned. He announced it himself this Saturday in a television program in which he collaborates. "He was 89 years old and has died in the Collado-Villalba residence where he has lived for the last few years. I suffered from advanced dementia and my sisters could no longer take care of it as much as I needed to," he explains sadly on the other end of the phone.
Few know that Antonia , the woman Ramoncín refers to, is her biological mother . Who brought him to this world, but not who brought him forward, since this woman could not take care of the baby, his first-born, when he was born in 1955. Ramón's adoptive mother, Engracia , was the one who raised the artist. "My aunt , my old woman , was married to Manolo, my mother's brother, they have been my true parents, " she explains.
In any case, the artist resumed contact with the years with whom she gave birth and with the seven children she had with another man. "They are my brothers, I am very close to them and they have asked me to take care of all this at this time." Two years ago, Ramón also lost one of them, "the most important person for me behind my children."
Two mothers
Engracia, the adoptive mother, died four years ago of natural causes, at 90. And it has been now, Antonia, who has left because of the Covid-19. The famous king of fried chicken thus suffers the double loss of his mother. Because yes, he had two.
"Antonia has long since left, really. She had believed for a long time that she lived in the 60s and that she was 20 or 25 years old. She had heart conditions and had been confined for three weeks, with the consequent lack of activity that surely has affected her. Also, Ten elderly people from her plant had died of coronavirus. They have taken great care of her, and we have been lucky that she died asleep. We did not want to prolong any agony, the doctor put her on oxygen and food by one route and she decided to leave alone. That is our greatest comfort . "
Yesterday, Monday at 4:00 pm, her mother was cremated , but no family member has been able to attend the cremation. "His body is supposed to have been in the Ice Palace, but we preferred not to know, we don't want to mortify ourselves." They will not do a funeral mass either. They are a Christian family, but not a believer. "We will keep all the siblings and grandchildren to eat in the field and we will remember it," he glides with tenderness.
Ramoncín is the one who takes the administrative reins of the death of his mother. "The death certificate states that the possible cause of death is Covid-19 , that is, the intermediate cause, because the immediate cause has been cardiorespiratory arrest. They have also noted that there is no problem in being cremated."

In a few days you will receive your mother's ashes at home in an urn. "He has also caught me alone. Amalia, my partner and the mother of my two young children, is on our Alpedrete farm. I came to Madrid to do some business and I have not been able to go for her," he says. Her two older daughters, like the younger ones, are independent.
Ramoncín had just returned with Amalia from Salamanca to give a concert when the state of alarm was declared. He had to cancel the tour this summer. He is very concerned about what his profession is already suffering.
