This decision by the African Football Confederation is not a surprise. After the African Football Championship (CHAN), which was to start in Cameroon on April 4, and the qualifiers for the next African Cup of Nations (CAN), the African Football Confederation (CAF) postpones the news important deadlines - health crisis obliges .

Four countries are still concerned by the outcome of the inter-club African cups . Egypt, Morocco, Cameroon and Guinea. Everyone is affected by the spread of the coronavirus .

In the Champions League, the two major teams in Casablanca, Wydad and Raja, must respectively face in the semi-finals Al Ahly and Zamalek, the two major clubs in Cairo. The final was scheduled for Douala in late May.

In the Confederation Cup, Morocco is supposed to host a Berkane-Agadir duel in the semi-final, before hosting the final in Rabat. The other confrontation of the last square must oppose the Egyptians of Pyramids to the Horoya of Conakry. The Guinean club is very ambitious, after two quarters of a row in the Champions League. But the Horoya does not know what its calendar will look like, like all the other teams concerned.

CAF has not announced new dates for the outcome of its continental cups. Faced with the same problem, Europe would consider putting an end to its competitions this summer.

In light of growing concerns about the evolving nature of #COVID ー 19 and with the introduction of containment in most countries, the CAF Emergency Committee has decided to postpone the following matches until further notice 👇
