From the time the City of Malmö asked the question to the International Women's Association (IKF) in Malmö, it took only a few days before the work was in full swing to make protective robes for the care. - We asked some of the members with previous sewing experience and everyone wanted to line up, says Tatjana Ristovski, operations manager at IKF Malmö.
Just during Easter Eve, the volunteers counted on sewing 40 protective coats.
- Now with the corona virus you are sitting at home a lot. There is no job and no school. So when they called me, I said, "I'll be there soon," says Fatiha Al-Rifai, a volunteer and safety seamstress.
