This was reported in a letter to the clergy of Moscow and the Moscow Region, the first vicar of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Cyril, Metropolitan of Voskresensky, published on the website of the Russian Orthodox Church.

“To fulfill the above order of the chief state sanitary officer in the city of Moscow and to perform services at the time established by him only with the participation of the clergy of the church, as well as employees and volunteers whose presence is necessary,” the letter says.

Earlier, the Moscow Patriarchate recommended that citizens pray at home and not attend services during Holy Week and Easter in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19.
