"I thought it was over"

"At 97, it was sure that she was not going to survive ..." breathes Maud, moved when telling the story of her mother, resident of an Ehpad. It starts with a cough, a fever, and then the terrible news: it's Covid-19. "She's ready by the exit door, we're getting ready," recalls her daughter.

"When it happens, it's a cataclysm, catastrophe, nothingness," she continues. "I had to sit down ... I didn't expect to have this brutal reaction of despair. It's terrible, it's terrible. I thought it was over."

"You know mom, you caught it"

Nelly is then hospitalized, on oxygen ... And a few days later, she breathes alone! Healed, the nonagenarian, suffering from Alzheimer's, does not realize what has happened to her. "You know mom, you caught him," said his daughter on the phone. "You are healed ... It was something very serious." And Nelly replied: "Ah well? No, everything is fine, worry!"

When she sees her mother in the flesh, at the end of confinement, Maud therefore expects to be disputed. "She'll say to me, 'But you give up on what you did! You told everyone that I had a virus.
