The proposal is an employee publisher from the beginning and has now been decided to be implemented by the operating committee for ambulance health care.

The emergency ambulances will primarily be used to transport patients between healthcare facilities in Halland. An ambulance nurse transports the patient in the emergency ambulance and can secure medical care if needed.

Ambulance health operations manager Kenth Ahlin compares an emergency ambulance to a regular care unit where medicine is available and where patients are not under constant supervision, compared to an ordinary ambulance that can be compared to an intensive care unit where monitoring and constant care may be vital.

Can act in case of life-threatening alarms

In addition to transporting patients between healthcare facilities, emergency care ambulances will also act in case of life-threatening alarms. If the emergency ambulance is closest, it goes to the site and begins care for the acutely ill until a regular ambulance takes over.

The ambulances will operate throughout the region but start from Halmstad and Varberg. Kenth Ahlin believes this will free up time and provide more resources for life-threatening alarms.
