Earlier, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case in connection with the dismantling of the monument to Soviet Marshal Konev in Prague. It is noted that the case was opened on the grounds of the crime "The desecration of the symbols of the military glory of Russia, committed publicly."

The Czech Foreign Ministry also commented on the decision of the Prague authorities to demolish the monument to Soviet Marshal Ivan Konev.
