China News Service, Qionghai, April 10 (Reporter Zhang Qianyi) Hainan Boao Lecheng "Never End" International Innovation Medicine Exhibition opened on the 10th in Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pioneer Area (hereinafter referred to as "Lecheng Pioneer Area"), 25 multinational companies exhibited with more than 300 medical equipment products not listed in China. Many companies said that they are optimistic about the construction prospects of Hainan Free Trade Zone (Hong Kong) and hope to use the preferential preferential policies of the pioneer zone to introduce more leading medical equipment into the Chinese market and help the development of the health industry.

The Lecheng Pioneer District was established with the approval of the State Council of China in 2013, and enjoys special preferential policies including expediting the approval of medical device and drug import registration, medical technology access for clinical applications and research. Up to now, 63 batches of 64 kinds of urgently needed drugs and medical devices have been approved for import in the pioneer zone.

New ECMO (artificial lung), cochlear implants, transcatheter aortic valve prostheses, a new generation of continuous vision intraocular lenses, smart photosensitive contact lenses ... This exhibition, which brings together many new medical devices, attracts the United States, Japan, Germany, Well-known medical companies from France, South Korea, Ireland and other countries participated.

Boston Scientific exhibited 24 innovative medical device products, covering cardiac intervention, peripheral and tumor intervention, neuromodulation and other fields. An innovative device-disposable duodenoscope has attracted attention. According to reports, this device is used for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. It was launched in the United States in December last year and has not yet entered the Chinese mainland market. It can replace the reusable duodenoscope, so that patients can use brand new sterile instruments during surgery, avoiding the potential risk of iatrogenic infection.

Zhang Jun, President of Boston Scientific Greater China, believes that with the implementation of favorable policies for the construction of the free trade zone (Hong Kong), Hainan will become a new high ground for medical innovation practice. The company will introduce more world-leading minimally invasive intervention products in the Lecheng Pioneer District to help transform and upgrade the health industry.
