This Friday there was the third death of a toilet in the Community of Madrid due to Covid-19, that of an operating room nurse in the ICU of the Severo Ochoa hospital in Leganés who died at the age of 57.

According to information released by the center, this nurse, named Esteban Peñarrubia, died this Friday "after fighting tirelessly, for days, against the disease" , being the first member of the staff to die "in this hard battle"

The Severo Ochoa Hospital has conveyed its "deepest and most sincere condolences" to Esteban's family, friends and colleagues, especially his wife, who is also a nurse at the Leganés hospital , one of the most shaken by the pandemic of coronavirus from its inception.

The hospital center has sent "a huge hug of strength" to all the people who, during these days, have worked together with Esteban "in these difficult times".

"We continue fighting, we continue to leave our skin and, on sad occasions, also life, but do not doubt that we will succeed," they said from the Severo Ochoa Hospital in a brief statement sent to the media.

The death of this 57-year-old male nurse is the third in a community of Madrid health facility that has been reported to the media.

The first deceased was a radiophysicist from the Hospital de la Princesa, Leopoldo Pérez González , who worked in the Radiation Oncology service, who died at the age of 54.

After this radiophysicist, a doctor from the Summa 112, Luis Pérez Suárez , died on April 5, who combined his work in the Emergency Department of the HM Vallés Hospital with his work as a Summa 112 doctor.

Last Monday, the Workers' Commissions numbered at least 8,700 isolated or infected public health professionals without being able to carry out their work.
