As of 24:00 on April 8, a total of 112 confirmed cases imported overseas, 8 cases imported related overseas, 68 cases discharged from hospital, and 52 cases treated in hospital (2 severe cases, 2 severe cases) were reported.
As of 24:00 on April 8, a total of 347 locally diagnosed cases were reported, 343 were discharged, 1 died, and 3 were treated in hospital (1 critical case).
From 0:00 to 24:00 on April 8, two new cases of asymptomatic infections were added, one of which was imported from abroad, and found at the port of entry, and the other was found by close contact. Newly imported confirmed cases: male, 38 years old, Guangdong, China, Guangzhou living in Liede Street, Tianhe District, recently visited relatives in the United States.
On April 5, the patient arrived in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on the 7th by taking flights B6523 and CZ328 from the United States. After the customs took samples for inspection, they were transferred to a centralized isolation point.
On April 7, the Customs reported that the test result was positive for the new coronavirus nucleic acid, that is, it was transferred to the Eighth People's Hospital of Guangzhou City for isolation treatment.
On April 8, after further examination and expert consultation, the diagnosis of new coronary pneumonia was confirmed.
Newly imported overseas related confirmed cases 1: male, 46 years old, Nigerian.
Newly imported overseas confirmed cases 2: female, 31 years old, Guangdong, China.
The two patients mentioned above are husband and wife. They live in Longdong Street, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, and work in a trading city on Guangyuan West Road.
Epidemiological investigations revealed that the two patients were close contacts of a confirmed case of Nigerian origin recently.
On April 5, two patients were included in the centralized isolation medical observation object, and samples were sent for examination. The results of the initial screening on the 6th were positive for the new coronavirus nucleic acid, and the results of the review on the 7th were also positive, that is, the eighth people in Guangzhou Hospital isolation treatment.
On April 8, after further examinations and expert consultations, they were diagnosed with confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia.
The above three cases were all found through active investigation, and 19 close contacts have been subjected to centralized isolation medical observation in accordance with relevant regulations. The relevant event sites of the cases have been terminally sterilized, and the environmental sample tests are negative.
