The new decision now means that work with the Femöresbron can now continue, Norrköping Municipality announces in a press release.

In its judgment, the Administrative Court has judged that a new bridge adapted to today's requirements regarding accessibility, security and connection to the bridge guard's cottage weighs heavier than keeping the cultural-historical values intact.

"Of course, the move needs to be done with great caution and consideration, but we see it as very positive that we can now move forward in the process and get a bridge in place as soon as possible," says Karin Jonsson (C), municipal council and chairman of the technical committee in the press release.

Now the project will continue with an application for water and with a detailed project solution. According to the schedule, a new bridge may be in place during the summer of 2020.
