The Director of the Higher Colleges of Technology Complex, Dr. Abdullatif Al Shamsi stressed, according to the new mechanism, the cumulative average for any student in the colleges of higher technology will not be negatively affected, as the cumulative average and the academic status of the student at the end of the first semester will be the primary reference in his assessment.


He said: "The new mechanism for calculating the cumulative average of students for the end of the current academic year, which was announced, came after a thorough study of international best practices and taking into account the nature of the current conditions, which relate to the novelty of the full application of distance learning, as well as looking at individual student differences and technical challenges facing students, in the sense of The mechanism sought to ensure the interest of all students and to appreciate their efforts during the current period, "he said, noting that colleges have extended the period of withdrawal of subjects without failing until May 7.


He added: "In the event that the final mark of the subject is higher than the GPA, it will be calculated in the new GPA and within the credit hours, and in the event that the final mark is less than the GPA, it will not be calculated in the new GPA while the credit hours are calculated, indicating that a good GPA is calculated. It will be electronic and automatic.
