Criticism of the international community continues as police force violently suppress doctors who protested against harsh medical conditions.

Foreign media, including the Guardian, reported that doctors working on the front line of Corona19 in Pakistan protested the lack of quarantine supplies, but were violently suppressed by the police.

During a protest in Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan on the 6th, they claimed that the medical field was "deplorable." Dr. Jonas Ellahi, a doctor who participated in the protest, said, "My colleagues are throwing themselves at risk while taking care of patients without safe equipment." It was reported that 16 doctors were infected with Corona 19 in one hospital because there were not enough quarantine supplies for medical staff to use.

However, police at the protest site arrested more than 60 people after assaulting medical staff with bludgeons and rifle butts. The doctors continued to protest while being forcibly carried on a truck, but were released the next day after being trapped in a police station.

"At first, I thought the police couldn't do violence to us," said Amanula, who participated in the protests. Elahi also criticized the government for saying, "The state is now tolerating violence against doctors without providing basic quarantine supplies."

Pakistan has 4,83 confirmed cases and 58 deaths to date. However, doctors estimate that the number of tests themselves is small, and in fact, much more infections have occurred.
