The World Health Organization's WHO emphasized that "do not make the virus a political issue" in a criticism that it was China-centered in responding to Corona19.

WHO secretary-general, Edwards Adhanom Gerberus, responded with dismay to comment on the criticism of US President Donald Trump at a video press briefing held at WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

He said, "If you want an artillery containing more bodies, do that. If you don't, then refrain from making political issues."

"Isolate the political issue of Corona 19. We shouldn't waste time pointing fingers," he said, "it's like playing with fire."

"If there is a crack at the national and global level, then the virus will succeed," he said. "The United States and China must fight this dangerous enemy together."

The situation would worsen if governments were not united against the spread of Corona19, he said.

The secretary-general also said he hopes US aid will continue to be heard about President Trump's comments on the WHO contribution.

"Thanks to the United States for supporting so far," he said. "The United States will continue to contribute its share."
