Democratic members of Congress had called for Mudley's dismissal, noting that they had lost faith in his performance.
In terms of the epidemiological situation, about two thousand people died from the Corona virus in America in the past 24 hours, in the highest daily toll recorded by a country in the world since the emergence of the epidemic.
