Several of the infected people had no or very mild symptoms at the time, Sweden Radio Ekot reports.

- When they got positive test answers they had to go home, as if they had symptoms. We cannot have positive staff in the department, says Britt Åkerlind, who is an infection control physician in Östergötland, to Ekot.

It is still uncommon in Sweden to test whole groups and people who have no symptoms at all.

- This emphasizes that paying attention to symptoms is not enough, but that social distance must be observed as far as possible, says Karin Tegmark Wisell, Head of the Public Health Authority, to Ekot.
