As the new owners of Hall Media now take over the helm of the large media company, the CEO and the board are replaced. The new owners, Amedia and Mittmedia, which are 80 percent owned by Bonnier News, have chosen to appoint Mikael Nestius as the new CEO, Hall Media says in their newspapers. Nestius comes most recently from the position of business manager at Mitt Media, a service he will retain in the future.

"We will coordinate Mittmedia and Hall Media in different ways and will be part of Bonnier News' overall structure," Nestius told the group's newspapers.

No nationwide paper newspaper

Nestius also announces that the project of merging the county's paper magazines into a county newspaper will not be done.

- Both we and Amedia now have a similar strategy that is about keeping the newspaper titles as independent and local as possible. We will continue to do so and try to create the conditions for this journalism to succeed in a digital world, he says.

With this, Mats Tidstrand will leave the newspaper group after four years at the CEO post.
