At the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this (8th) afternoon, a reporter asked about the situation of overseas students under the epidemic. In this regard, spokesman Zhao Lijian said that the Party Central Committee has always attached great importance to and cared about overseas Chinese students. After the outbreak of the New Coronary Pneumonia epidemic in many places overseas, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has requested all embassies and consulates abroad to take full action in accordance with the Party Central Committee ’s decision and deployment, and will do everything possible to pass the care of the Party and the government to overseas Chinese students.

At present, most overseas students still choose to stay locally, taking into account the practical difficulties faced by some overseas students, especially minor students. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is coordinating the relevant departments in arranging temporary flights and taking them back to the country in a gradual and orderly manner. The specific time is still under communication.
