"The production of non-alcoholic beer has increased to eight million liters per year in recent years," says Sarah Hjälm, communicator.

In usual cases, residual ethanol is used for biogas recovery. However, due to the current corona pandemic, the beer manufacturer has begun to manufacture hand spirits which they supply to the medical service in Dalarna. Sarah Hjälm says that the workers in the production work all the way into the tile to be able to deliver as many liters as possible.

Can produce 1500 liters a week

On Wednesday, 360 liters of hand spirit and disinfection were delivered to the hospital. In the future, the company will have the capacity to deliver up to 1500 liters per week if the production of packaging and labels works as intended.

- I got a picture from those who worked last Saturday, on pre-mixed hand spirit that was loaded onto pallets in a lockable container. And so they wrote "Saturday Fun" (smiley). Because they really want to help, says Sarah Hjälm.
