The General Department of Narcotics Control in Dubai Police arrested an Asian young man who posted a video clip on social media networks while he was using the heroin drug in defiance of the security services, and took all legal measures regarding him and referred him to the judicial authorities.

The Director of the General Department of Narcotics Control, Brigadier Eid Muhammad Thani Hareb, said that the teams concerned acted immediately after the video clip spread on social media, and arrested the accused within hours only, and he was transferred to the competent authorities to take the necessary measures regarding him, indicating that the communication sites are not platforms to show off Abnormal behavior.

He called for not trading these videos on issues related to drug use, as they pose a risk to the health and life of the individual, and may lead a number of people to experience abuse, stressing that the Dubai police strike with an iron hand on all those who ask themselves to tamper with the laws of the state with a view to abuse or Promoting or trading, as well as filming videos that contribute to the spread of destructive ideas harmful to society and contribute to the spread of negative ideas.
He pointed out that Federal Law No. (5) of 2012 on combating information technology crimes stipulated in Article No. 29 that “punishable by temporary imprisonment and a fine not exceeding one million dirhams for anyone who publishes information, news or data on a website or any information network or means Information technology with the intent to harm the reputation, prestige, or standing of the state or any of its institutions.
