The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center told «Emirates Today» that it was decided this year to cancel the Ramadan breakfast tents, which it organizes annually, during the month of Ramadan, in line with the precautionary measures taken by the state to counter the spread of the (Covid 19) virus, known as the new “Corona”.


The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - affiliated with the Ministry of Presidential Affairs - organizes Ramadan Iftar tents as part of the "Our Fasting Guests" project, which is held on the spirit of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, "God bless his soul," by hosting the fasting people in a number of air-conditioned tents And equipped with all amenities.


The Center pointed out that the decision to reopen the mosque's doors to worshipers during the holy month of Ramadan is still under study in accordance with developments in health and precautionary conditions in the country, in a way that guarantees the safety of worshipers.


It is noteworthy that the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which has the patronage and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, has closed its doors since mid-March last, in front of its worshipers and visitors, for the purposes of sterilizing the mosque and its facilities in order to protect the health of citizens and residents. Visitors and their safety, in the context of precautionary and preventive efforts and measures.
