The volunteer network is called Good Neighbors, and those who need help with various chores can sign up, as well as those who can think of helping.
"It can be anything from shopping for groceries, going out with the dog, throwing garbage, picking up packages and important medicines," says Charlotta Jakobsson, regional coordinator for Good Neighbors in the tenant association Southeast region.
And soon, work begins on connecting the needy with the volunteers.
The Southeast Tenants Association includes Jönköping, Kronoberg, Kalmar, Östergötland and Blekinge counties as well as Gotland.
