Hubei Province has conducted a total of 1308 monitoring of drinking water sources, and the water quality has reached or exceeded Class III standards. Wuhan has conducted a total of 157 monitoring of drinking water sources, and the water quality has reached or exceeded Class III standards.

31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps currently have 2,520 designated hospitals, 4,821 centralized isolation sites, and 2,029 urban sewage treatment plants that receive medical sewage. At present, the national medical sewage treatment is stable and orderly, and disinfection measures are strictly implemented.

The reporter was informed on the 7th that as of April 4, 2020, the national daily disposal capacity of medical waste was 6070.6 tons, compared with 4902.8 tons per day before the outbreak, the daily disposal capacity increased by 1167.8 tons. Since January 20, a total of 232,000 tons of medical waste have been disposed of nationwide.

On April 4th, a total of 3413.3 tons of medical waste were collected and disposed nationwide, including 342 tons of epidemic-related medical waste from designated medical institutions. Hubei Province collects and disposes of 205 tons of medical waste. Wuhan City collects and disposes of 109 tons of medical waste.

The Ministry of Eco-Environment stated that the eco-environment system should follow the overall prevention and control strategy of “external prevention input, internal prevention rebound” determined by the central government, and continue to do environmental protection work related to epidemic prevention and control without any relaxation.
