07 April 2020A fire broke out in the night, around 1.30 am, in a two-storey building in via Cavour in Loreto Aprutino, in the province of Pescara. The stake, developed for reasons under investigation has completely invested the building which, damaged after the last earthquake, was not inhabited, but was occasionally used as a refuge.

The fire, after several hours of work, was put out by the Fire Brigade who prevented the flames from affecting the neighboring houses, all inhabited. Many people took to the streets. Law enforcement and the mayor were also on site. At the moment it is not confirmed that there were people inside. A part of the building has partially collapsed and this has not facilitated the entry of rescue workers inside.
Two teams arrived from Pescara and one from the Penne detachment.
