President Moon Jae-in visited Gangwon-do, which had been hit hard last year by large forest fires on the morning of Arbor Day, planted trees and encouraged residents.

President Moon planted over 40 residents and Geumgang pine trees who participated in the fire extinguishing last year at Okgye-myeon, Gangneung this morning.
President Moon visited Gangwon-do on the 5th, the next day, after the fire broke out on April 4th of last year, to check the response to the fire.

The government plans to restore 2,576ha to 2022, excluding natural restoration areas, among the wildfire areas.

At the site where President Moon planted trees, local officials and residents, such as forest fire extinguishers and firefighters, as well as local officials and residents, who led the way to save neighbors in dangerous situations, also attended.
