An Israeli air bridge consisting of 11 cargo planes belonging to the Israeli Elal company will start transporting millions of health supplies for the prevention, examination and treatment of those affected by the Corona epidemic in Israel, in cooperation between the Israeli Ministry of Health and the Mossad agency, according to Israeli sources revealed.

According to the sources, Elal worked in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Mossad agency to purchase and collect these supplies from China during the past two weeks. The shipments include: protective clothing, masks, gloves, in addition to medical equipment and respirators.

It is scheduled to start from this night the arrival of Israeli cargo planes loaded with supplies to Tel Aviv airport, in order to fill the shortage experienced by the Israeli health system in the face of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Ministry of Health - Sunday - announced that the death toll from the Corona virus has risen to 49, after 5 new cases were registered. The ministry said in a statement that the number of people infected with the virus rose to 8430, after recording 580 new cases since dawn on Sunday.

She noted that among the injured, 245 are in a serious condition, of whom 106 have a respiratory system. The ministry pointed out that 546 injured people recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Avigdor Lieberman, leader of the "Israel Our Home" party, questioned the statistics of the Israeli government on the number of people afflicted with Corona, especially in the neighborhoods inhabited by religious (ultra-Orthodox) Jews, calling for the publication of the real numbers.

On Friday, the Israeli authorities declared Bani Barak a prohibited city, and prevented entry into and exit from it except for emergencies, due to the outbreak of Corona. The Director General of the Patient Fund Ran Saar estimated the number of people afflicted with Corona in Bnei Brak at 38% of the city's population of 200,000. It is considered the epicenter of the epidemic in Israel and is subject to quarantine.

On Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the deployment of hundreds of soldiers, in order to "help" the authorities in Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv, to impose compliance with the measures taken to combat new Corona virus in the city.

According to local Israeli media, about half of the Coronavirus infections are among ultra-Orthodox Jews, who make up about 10% of the Israelis.

In the face of the refusal of many religious Jews - who represent most of the residents of Bnei Brak - to adhere to measures of social separation and domestic quarantine, the police conducted special patrols in the religious neighborhoods, and limited the possibility of entering and leaving the city.
