The NKR credit rating agency has predicted three scenarios for changes in consumer demand for housing due to the situation with the coronavirus, RBC reports.

With a moderate version of the development of events with COVID-19, the 20 largest developers can lose up to 90 billion rubles in profit, which is about 10% of their total income for 2019.

In the most severe scenario, which experts called a crisis, developers risk losing more than 200 billion rubles.

According to the NKR, depending on the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, a drop in housing demand is projected to be in the range of 5% to 25%.

Earlier, the vice-president of the Guild of Realtors Konstantin Aprelev in an interview with NSN assessed the situation in the real estate market.
