Corona ... America's highest daily toll in the world, Trump expects "horrific time" and Algeria's most Arab deaths

The newer Cornna virus continues to record more casualties daily, according to the latest official figures - according to Agence France-Presse - the death of 63,437 people worldwide, which is equivalent to about 5.4% of all infections. According to a Reuters tally, tests have shown that more than 306,000 people have contracted Corona in the United States, and more than 8,300 deaths.

For his part, US President Donald Trump expected the number of deaths in his country to rise dramatically, reiterating that the next two weeks will be the most difficult.

"We are heading into a time that will be very shocking," Trump said at the White House. "Perhaps we have never seen such numbers, perhaps during World War I or II, or the like."

Trump stressed the country's need for masks, threatening what he called "revenge" if his country did not take what it wanted from it. He decided to ban the export of locally manufactured respirators to Canada and Latin America.

And White House medical experts predict that 100,000 to 240,000 Americans will die in that pandemic, even if orders to stay at home are complied with.

In New York, state governor Andrew Como announced that she had recorded 630 new deaths from the virus within 24 hours, and that the number of infections in it had reached about 114,000.

Como said that the injuries in the state may reach its peak within seven days, stressing that he will issue a decision that allows to accelerate the graduation of doctors and nurses from universities, and facilitate the procedures of practicing their work, to help in efforts to combat the virus.

Europe the hardest hit
Europe is the region hardest hit by the virus, with more than 44,000 people dying, which represents more than two thirds of the deaths from the virus worldwide.

Italy is still the country most affected by the virus in terms of deaths, with the largest number of deaths in the world (14,681), although the numbers reported 681 new deaths during the past 24 hours, which is less than its predecessor.

Although the numbers continue to rise by registering more than four thousand new cases, observers talk about indications of an improvement in the situation in light of the low number of patients who need to stay in intensive care. The French news agency quoted the head of the government's scientific council, Franco Locatelli, as saying that the figures indicate that the country has passed the peak stage and the success of the measures adopted to combat the spread of the virus.

In second place is Spain (11,744), where the authorities announced the extension of the state of emergency until 25 of this month, after recording 809 new deaths. The Spanish authorities also recorded about seven thousand injuries, exceeding the total number of 124 thousand.

Then comes France, which has recorded 7,560 deaths from the virus, including 1053 recorded in the last 24 hours.

According to official figures, Britain is ranked fifth in the world in the number of deaths resulting from corona, as it surpassed Iran by a large difference.

In one day, the UK recorded 708 new deaths from the Coronavirus, in a new record that confirms the acceleration of the epidemic, which has killed 4,313 people in the country, health authorities said Saturday.

In total, the UK authorities counted 41,903 injuries, including 3,735 injuries over the past 24 hours.

In Iran, Ministry of Health spokesman Kyanosh Jahanpur said that the total deaths of the Coronavirus have increased to 3452 on Saturday, after 158 people died of the disease during the past 24 hours.

He added to state television that the total number of injuries was 55,743, of which 4,103 were critical cases. Iran remains the country worst hit by the virus in the Middle East.

Arabic numbers
In the Arab world, Saturday witnessed more than a thousand new infections with the virus, mostly in the Gulf region, while the number of deaths in the region rose to more than 250.

On Saturday, the Algerian Ministry of Health reported 25 new deaths from the infection with the Coruna virus, bringing the total to 130.

The Algerian authorities decided to extend the partial curfew to limit the spread of the Corona virus, starting today, Sunday, with an increase in the number of confirmed cases of Corona virus.

The ban applies from three o'clock until seven o'clock in the capital Algiers, in addition to eight states, and from seven o'clock until seven o'clock in other states, with the exception of the Province of Blida, which will continue to be subject to a total quarantine procedure.

In Egypt, the Egyptian Ministry of Health announced that 85 cases and 5 new deaths from the Corona virus were recorded, bringing the number of cases to 1070, and the number of deaths to 71.

In a related context, the Egyptian Ministry of Endowments announced that it will not allow the establishment of collective breakfast tables in the coming Ramadan, against the backdrop of the spread of Corona virus in the country.

The authorities have taken several precautionary measures to prevent the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, including the suspension of studies, Friday prayers and congregational prayers in mosques, and the imposition of a partial curfew throughout the country.

For its part, the Saudi Ministry of Interior said in a statement on Saturday that the authorities announced isolation measures and a partial curfew in seven neighborhoods of the Red Sea city of Jeddah, as part of measures to contain the spread of the new Corona virus.

Earlier, the Saudi Ministry of Health announced the registration of 140 new injuries, bringing the total number of injuries to 2099, deaths to 29, and the number of people recovering 420.

The Moroccan Ministry of Health announced that it had recorded 122 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number to 883, while the number of deaths reached 50, after recording two deaths on Saturday.

The Tunisian Ministry of Health said it had registered 58 new cases of the Coronavirus, bringing the total to 553, and the number of deaths to 19.

In Qatar, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 250 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections to 1325.

In Iraq, the Ministry of Health announced today 58 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number to 878.

The UAE Ministry of Health said that it recorded 241 new cases of coronavirus, taking the total number of infected people to 1505.

In Kuwait, the Ministry of Health recorded the first death from the Corona virus, and 62 new infections, bringing the number of infections to 479.

Omani Health recorded 25 new cases of the virus, bringing the number of infections to 277.

For its part, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced 12 injuries, bringing the total to 520, including 17 deaths.

In Palestine, 11 new injuries were recorded, all of them returning to and from Israeli workers, bringing the total number to 205.
