In the crisis that we live in today, with the spread of the Corona "Covid-19" epidemic globally, women have taken humanitarian initiatives to help the injured and the incapable, and have gone beyond this to help the responsible authorities in the countries, security men and doctors.

A lady as much as responsibility
Egyptian businesswoman Heba Al-Suwaidi, chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the "People of Egypt" Foundation, was one of the first women to interact in tackling the Corona epidemic, launched the "Stay at Home" initiative, and labeled "The People of Egypt have responsibility".

Initially, Al-Suwaidi broadcast a video clip to announce the initiative and encourage public figures to participate in it to urge citizens to stay at home and follow preventive measures due to the seriousness and speed of the spread of the virus, and many public figures, media, artists and soccer players have interacted with it.

In another initiative for Al Suwaidi, and under the umbrella of the People of Egypt Foundation, it announced that it would provide five integrated intensive care rooms, provide 30 artificial respirators for Corona sufferers, and implement locally manufactured face masks to protect doctors and the injured from Corona infection, according to Egyptian newspapers.

A woman who does not know the impossible
With the increase in the prices of masks in pharmacies in the Kirkuk governorate north of the capital, Baghdad, Iraqi activist Nadia Muhammad al-Azzawi, head of the Umbrella Organization for Human Rights, has made hand-made masks and distributed them free to those who are not able.

As soon as it was announced, dozens of volunteers joined it, which contributed to raising production to more than 350 pieces per day and distributing them to poor neighborhoods and regions, according to a report in the island.

The work and humanitarian solidarity that Al-Azzawi started pushing a number of responsible authorities to cooperate, and the Kirkuk Sports and Youth Directorate opened its doors to the volunteers and their sewing machines to work in a wide area.

With the expansion of the area, production increased to reach about 2000 masks per day, and the masks are no longer distributed only to the poor, but to medical personnel in hospitals and security men on the roads.

With the increasing number of deaths in most countries of the world due to the Corona virus, Jihan Mukhtar, a member of the Teachers Syndicate in Qena Governorate, Egypt, launched a women initiative aimed at educating women to prevent gatherings in funerals, to limit the spread of the new Corona virus.

The initiative launched by Mrs. Al-Saedia from Al-Harajiyya village in Qus - Upper Egypt - to be spread in other villages, targeting women only, as they are the most difficult category to convince compared to men and youth, if it comes to gatherings in funerals and mourning sessions, according to Egyptian newspapers.

Informational against the virus
Perhaps not all women can initiate individual initiatives, but that did not prevent them from volunteering in several initiatives within their countries to contribute to facing the new Corona virus, among them the Qatari media Iman Al Kaabi who was involved in volunteer work, until she became one of the most prominent volunteers in the "volunteer for Qatar "launched by the Qatar Charity Association.

Al-Kaabi initiative contributed to the state's efforts to limit the spread of the new Corona virus, raising awareness for security and safety measures and preventive measures, distributing food to workers in quarantine areas, and distributing a number of educational publications and videos that include guidelines for dealing with the Corona virus.
