The consultant, head of the Emirati dermatology department, Dr. Anwar Al Hammadi, confirmed that he receives about three cases daily with negative repercussions, to overuse the use of hand sanitizers, which may affect humans with contact eczema.

Al-Hammadi stressed that it is not necessary to use it for those who suffer from dry skin, and may be exposed to eczema, so care must be taken to moisturize the hands directly, as it is preferable to use sterilizers that contain vitamin A, and pointed out that washing hands with water and non-perfumed soap, usually, is sufficient.
