In Prague, a monument was dismantled to the liberator of Czechoslovakia and Auschwitz, Marshal of the Red Army Ivan Stepanovich Konev. The head of the local municipality, Ondřej Kolář, accompanied this event with an insulting post on the social network. Kolarge wrote that the reason for the dismantling of the monument to the Soviet liberator was allegedly the absence of a medical mask on the face of the marshal during quarantine due to coronavirus. The Russian Embassy in Prague sharply condemned the actions of the city’s authorities on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the victory over Nazism.
